COACHING PROFILEDevonport Judo Club are very privileged to have a committed coaching team. While our coaches continue to develop fitness levels, Judo techniques and work towards individual goals. Our coaching team have a diverse background in Judo and enjoys sharing their knowledge and experiences.
Len BoultbeeLen’s love of Judo commenced in 1976, and has competed at State and National level and achieved success as a competitor, referee and coach and is currently one of the State coaches. Len has a wealth of experience and knowledge to share and thrives on building our club's judokas.
Nigel PalmerNigel commenced Judo as a child and reignited his passion for Judo when his children commenced at Devonport Judo Club. Nigel continues to coach Devonport and Ulverstone clubs and thrives on coaching, refereeing and representing the state in his youth.
Bailey PalmerBailey (under the guidance of Len, Nigel and coaches throughout the state and at a national level) continues to work with our members and share his knowledge of over 20 years of experience in developing judo skills and techniques.
Kelly WitteKelly has relocated from Queensland to Tasmania with her family. Her love for Judo commenced in 1990 when she was 8 years old. Over the years, Kelly has represented Queensland at State, National levels and many local competitions. She enjoys sharing her passion for Judo and all judo players and seeing them reach the goals they set for themselves. Kelly is thrilled to be part of such a lovely and friendly club.
Grant BarnesGrant returned to Judo after his two children commenced the sport. This revived his love of the sport and sparked a competitive and coaching drive. Grant continues to dedicate himself to self-improvement and the development of our club.
Amy BoultbeeAmy was introduced to the sport of Judo through her father Len. Over the past 20 years, Amy has continued to be involved in our club and represented the State at National Titles. Amy enjoys working with our junior members and is a passionate coach.
